Writing for Groupings Blog
We are always looking for new authors to provide our audience with the widest range of perspectives and the deepest understanding of the ICT field. If you would like to contribute (as in voluntary, as in no fee payable) material to Groupings, we'd love to start the conversation with you.
We're especially interested in contributors who can show some experience in producing interesting and informative material on a regular basis; your blog is your audition, email us with a link to it.
Meanwhile, here are the Goals and guidelines for Grouping Blog:
- The goal of the WebGuide blog is to provide news and information related to ICT use by community groups, iwi groups, and not-for-profit organisations. The purpose is to help such groups and organisations improve their practices and to share community ICT information.
- The Webguide Partnership will appoint a moderator of the blog. The moderator will determine the timing of postings and alert authors to any concerns about appropriateness of content, overlap in postings, or other problems. The moderator reserves the right to make minor edits to posts for grammar, spelling and tone. If major edits are necessary the moderator will consult with the author.
- Authorship rights are granted and may be rescinded by the Webguide Partnership.
- The focus of postings should be on ICT issues and ICT-related issues of concerns to community groups, iwi groups, and not-for-profit organisations. These may include common problems experienced by such groups in using ICT, emerging practices of interest, interesting examples of ICT use by such groups, etc.
- Authors should monitor their own posts and others to ensure that their content is fresh and responsive to emerging issues of concern.
- Authors will refrain from racist, sexist, or culturally offensive language and, in general, ensure that the tone of postings encourages a positive dialogue that is ultimately helpful to the target audience.
- Authors will respect copyright laws, giving credit for quotes and borrowed ideas.
