Social Networking: Fruitful or Disappointing? – TechSoup

"... the success stories [about nonprofits using social networks] can be a bit thin compared to the number of nonprofits experimenting with these sites, and the investment in the staff time required to build and maintain an online social network can be substantial. Yes, but we must not also forget thats there is the fun aspect too. People still use Social Networking for meeting people, having discussions and fun. It is good to finally see a New Zealand Social Networking site like http://www.kiwipulse.co.nz dont you think? Its been going for around 2 months with over 1000 members now. Lets see what happens.
